Parkside CLC utilizes Creative Curriculum in its center, incorporating Social/Emotional, Physical, Cognitive and Language development. Creative Curriculum believes that the way that teachers plan and organize a classroom, select toys and materials, plan the daily schedule, and talk with children all contribute to our goals of giving children a successful start in school.

New research on the brain and on learning shows how important the early years are in a child’s learning development. Creative Curriculum believes that children who do best in school are those who know how to make friends, cooperate with others, and can control their emotions within the confines of a school setting. The goals of the Creative Curriculum program are to develop children’s self-confidence, self-control, and social skills to make friends—and continue to use those skills in their future.
